I had to vectorize it as soon as I saw it. It was just too cute.
Rarity's mane puzzled me the most in this one. On the original sketch, the lower part is connected seamlessly with the upper one, but in the show, they are divided into two parts, where the upper one has a solid colour, and the lower one has a gradient. I was trying various ways to approach this problem, even including a transparency mask to make the gradient seamlessly fade into solid colour. In the end though, I decided to go with the more show-wise approach, but with a slightly enhanced gradient that is a result of leftovers from the transparency mask. Hopefully it looks good.

The thing that strikes me is how innocent this is, yet the intense love it still there. The way Rarity is holding Spike is a way that expresses true love and devotion, while the way Spike looks up at Rarity suggests deep affection. It could be looked at as they're lovers, or even a more maternal love. Either way, I support this shipping one hundred and twenty percent.
